Becoming One of the Top Specialists in the Nation
Work harder than the competition. To become the best you have to work harder than everyone else. This involves getting unlimited reps to help build up the correct muscle memory.
Find your form. Find your form that best suits you and stick with it. Minor tweaks here and there are okay but changing your steps every week or switching your grip is not. Perfect your form and reap the rewards.
Eliminate excuses. Bad holds and snaps are going to happen. The last thing you want to do is to automatically blame your holder or snapper whenever you miss a field goal or shank a punt. Prepare for the worst case scenario and you will be rewarded come game time.
Set goals. Set goals for yourself and work to achieve them. You never know what you can accomplish until you push yourself day in and day out.
Every ball has a purpose. Set a target before every kick, punt or snap. Going out and just kicking/snapping can and will lead to bad habits in the future.
